About

New York Islāmic Council (NYIC) is dedicated to the revival, teaching, and propagation of Islām in the greater New York metropolitan area. The organization works closely with The Clear Islam and ICNA’s WhyIslam branch. NYIC primarily focuses on 4 main objectives:

  • Spreading the daʿwah (call) to Islām, as well as producing and distributing Islāmic materials to people interested in Islām, new and beginner Muslims, masājid (mosques), Muslim student associations, and Muslim-owned businesses free of charge
  • Teaching Muslims how to give daʿwah and convey the message of Islām free of charge
  • Teaching Islām to new and beginner Muslims and helping them integrate into Muslims communities free of charge
  • Connecting Muslims to useful resources, as well as to scholarly circles if they seek to pursue more formal Islāmic education
